Neil is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over twenty years’ experience working within top tier UK and international contractors in commercial leadership and management roles. Neil’s project experience includes a wide range of large frameworks, major projects and partnering projects for both blue chip private sector and public sector clients. He has setup, managed and led major projects with values in excess of £250m. With a strong practical knowledge and appreciation of business requirements, Neil is aware how these are translated into project, financial and commercial management activities.  This enables him to continuously improve the commercial services being provided to his Clients.

Neil is familiar with a range of standard form and bespoke contract arrangements, including FIDIC, JCT and NEC, and is able to advise on amendments, structure and coordination of contracts to enhance project delivery as well as appropriate approaches to managing conflicts as they arise. Neil has a broad experience of working with cost-reimbursable and open book contracting arrangements, setting up project accounting structures and cost management procedures. Neil is able to draw on his professional contracting experience to quickly understand the technical nature and context of a construction dispute and to focus on the relevant issues. Each dispute resolver role Neil undertakes requires a tailored application of his leadership and management skills to facilitate the most appropriate process and gain the engagement of the parties. Neil is adaptable and proficient in all roles as a dispute resolver and is keen to provide clarity at each stage.
